Day Trip

We took Mama to Andalusia yesterday to visit two of her friends, and it was a beautiful day for it.  We dropped her off to eat lunch with Ann while we met Debby for lunch at Beef O'Brady's.  Mike hates the name of that place almost enough to keep him from eating there, but he definitely doesn't hate the Reubens.  We enjoyed Debby's company.  She always makes us laugh.

We picked Mama up after lunch and took her to Jeanette's house near the airport on the way to Opp, so we used that opportunity to go to TJ's Fabrics.  I was a little more organized this time in that we know the baby I'm sewing for is a girl, but there are just too many choices to make decisions.  I did try to concentrate on a few things and came home with a nice little stack.

These were irresistible and will make some pretty baprons or regular bibs and will work for embroidery too.

Lots of pretty Christmas fabric but so much I couldn't make a decision.  I found this lonely fat quarter that I had to bring home though.

I found these two on the half-price shelves.  Pretty!

It was also hard to choose from the Riley Blake Willow line, but I ended up with these.  Not sure what to do with them yet.

I also got a couple of yards of soft white Minky Dot to maybe pair up with the yellow and gray above to make another one of these Amy Butler Snuggle-Wrap blankets that will look more like a little girl.

I'm thinking I need to get busy.  A little over 2 weeks until our trip, and there are so many things to do before then.

Mike is working really hard on getting the bathroom finished.  He's doing some caulking and repairing along with the painting, but I think we can see the end of that soon.

I'll be typing Creek Indian lecture notes and working most of the weekend, but I might get in a little sewing.
